Anyone that knows Houston knows that it is a car-centric city. The Alliance Driver’s Education and Mobility Center was originally founded to provide low-cost instruction, training, and resources to refugees to assist them with obtaining a Texas State Driver’s License, an important milestone on the path to self-sufficiency. By completing our training courses and obtaining a driver’s license, individuals have the potential to increase their mobility, which in turn increases their employment opportunities, flexibility in scheduling appointments, and attending school.
Now, our program has expanded to a social enterprise that serves all community members with affordable driver’s education services. Our instructors, all TEA certified and bilingual, effectively teach participants how to drive through in-classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training.
The Alliance Driver’s Education & Mobility Center currently offers:
Adult Driver’s Education
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training
Instructor Development Course

The Alliance Driver's Education and Mobility Center recently secured two car donations for our clients thanks to a generous gift by Susan and Dan Boggio. We are excited to help new drivers get on the road with safe and reliable transportation.
