Employment Services

Connecting Job Seekers with Employers

Overview

Employment Services operates as a collaborative program with the Refugee Services and Financial Opportunity Center programs to ensure the best possible outcomes for anyone seeking employment opportunities.

The Alliance’s Employment Services staff are constantly building relationships with local businesses to expand our clients’ network of potential employers. Employment and career building are key steps on the pathway to self-sufficiency and stability.

For refugee and asylee clients who are fully authorized to work in the United States by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, obtaining employment can be a challenge. Having left behind their homes, personal property, and former jobs, they diligently seek opportunities to become self-sufficient and support their families.

Our Employment Services include:

  • Customized job development and placement
  • Pre-employment counseling, life skills training
  • Employment up-grade and follow-up services
  • Vocational training, and
  • Re-certification assistance
