Financial Opportunity Center

Helping Families and Individuals Build Stronger Financial Foundations

Overview

The Financial Opportunity Center (FOC), through partnerships with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), United Way THRIVE, financial institutions, and community organizations, provides services for Houston’s low to moderate income refugee, immigrant, and other underserved populations. These services include employment and career planning, financial literacy and coaching, and public benefits eligibility assistance.

Our staff uses a one-on-one coaching and bundled services approach to help clients improve their financial stability and assist them in making marked gains in income, job retention, home ownership, small business development, and more. Through these proven, strategic programs clients have the opportunity to achieve their financial dreams.
